Attract Buyers
- Price the cookbooks at $3 - $5 each (can vary by a few dollars in different regions). Set your own prices, but we recommend selling them as bargains.
- Display a variety of books. People always like something unique.
- Prominately feature any specialty books you may discover, such as low-fat, Amish, Cajun, or unusual titles. Charge a few dollars more as these books are collectors' favorites.
- Keep a large supply of books on display. The more attendees see, the more likely they are to visit your booth. Purchase our counter displays which sit books upright for easy viewing.
- Allow ample space for people to move around.
Successful Outlets
The larger the event, the more cookbooks you will sell, especially if the event is attended by many women. Best places for cookbook sales include: Craft Fairs, Antique Malls, Food Festivals, Cooking Expos, Flea Markets, Women’s Shows/Expos, Home Shows, and even County and State Fairs.
To ensure success, sell the cookbooks at our suggested prices. Since people are always looking for bargains, prominently display the prices and mention the cookbooks are from across the United States. Be proactive and outgoing, invite people into your booth, and have fun!

- Local, county, or statewide newsletters/magazines which provide event listings.
- Area Chamber of Commerces for information on local events.
- The internet for events in your state.
- Word of mouth from other vendors.
- Magazines such as Crafts Report, Bead & Button, East Coast Merchandiser, Western Merchandiser, Cover Magazine, Midwest Merchandiser, Closeout News and Merchants News.
